When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and optionally a profile photo. When you use Lately, we collect your daily check-in data (status, optional notes, and photos you choose to share), streak information, and pod membership details. We also collect your timezone to deliver timely notifications. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from those providers.
We use your data to operate the app: displaying your check-ins to your pod members, calculating streaks and stats, sending push notifications (daily reminders, nudges, pod updates), and managing your account. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Your check-in status and optional content are visible to members of your pod. Private notes are only visible to you. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as needed to operate the service (e.g., Supabase for data storage, Apple/Google for authentication).
Your data is stored securely on Supabase with row-level security policies ensuring users can only access data they are authorized to view. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
You can update your profile information at any time from the app. You can delete your account and request removal of all associated data by going to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed.
We send push notifications for daily reminders, nudges from pod members, and pod activity. You can manage notification preferences in Settings > Notifications, or disable them entirely in your device settings.
Lately is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of Lately after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
